There is more to getting your site ranked high that the creation of a large fully optimized, content-rich site. While on-site SEO is a very important part of success in search engines, there are many things to do off-site in order to achieve results. But where to start?

Why not start by getting what you can get FREE links. Many good website directory is free to file, directory, especially in specific regions. Therefore, with the help of Google, do a keyword search for different string that could bring some directories, here are some examples of what I say, publish a site, web directory, free web site directory, submit url , and so on. Keep looking, there are many of them, I'm sure it would be impossible to find them all.

Install the Google toolbar, as it is a very useful tool to check the PR of the directories and pages you are submitting your site. If the site has a PR 0, this may mean that the site has been in some bad neighborhoods, but on the other hand, the directory can only be new. Keep your site away from link farms (pages full of links and generally have a low PR). Do not submit your site to any site sent automatically to show you your site will be submitted to directories 20 +, for example. You want the manual submissions to these directories and engines. Of course, there are other ways to build links, as well as submitting to directories. Here are some examples, and depending on the topic of your site or type of business that involves, I'm sure a few will be helpful:

1. Writing industry specific articles and submit them to sites such as Ezine Articles (A link to your site accepted article. This is a slow but good for building a reputation in his field).

2. Start a blog, including links to your site. This is a great way to build a few links and is ideal if you are in a business more creative. These are, of course, is not high PR links, your blog will be at the same time create some exposure for your site.

3. Use Yahoo! Answers. You can answer questions specific to your field, and include a link to your site in the bottom of the page. As with the advice, make sure that your answer to the problems are considered and concise. Being careless and "spam" will only make you and your site look bad.

4. Do any customers or suppliers of their own have a site? Perhaps you would like to organize an exchange of links. A link exchange is good as a good blueberry muffin, if you are trying to get a high rank in search engines, so do not be afraid to ask. Some of my best link exchanges are done this way.

5. Be creative. This is not an exhaustive list of possibilities. There are a million and one ways to create links to your site.

Therefore, always remember that even if your site is large, the search engines is only recognized as a major case of other sites that we recommend as such. Good PR connections in trusted Web sites that is meaningful to search engines, and go further to help promote your website online.
