Today's Inspiring Quotes
"You were born to win, but to be a winner you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." - Zig Ziglar
"My philosophy of life is that if we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work hard toward that goal, we never lose - somehow we win out." - Ronald Reagan
Today's Inspiring Session
Life is tough. It is tough for the seeing and it is even tougher for the unseeing. In short, life is tough for everyone because life is full of unforeseen obstacles and adversities.
However, every human being is born with a special gift to win over life battles. You have this gift. And I have this gift as well. Therefore, all of us live to win no matter what circumstances we are in.
Forty-eight years ago, my father and mother happily got married and blessed with seven children over the years. Their life challenge begun when they discovered that the first child was blind. It came to them as a big surprise because neither they nor any other family members from both sides were blind.
What will you do if you were in the shoes of my parents? The first question is probably how to bring the child up just like any other children...
...Is the child going to live a normal life? How is he or she going to school? ...And many more other questions.
One life challenge after another. It is not fair. Sometimes you may think that way. Their third child was born safely but again blind. What do you think now? Isn't it not fair?
But, listen up. We all have the special gift to deal with these life adversities. Don't we? Yes. My father and mother had. They took it calmly even though their hearts were broken and their hopes were shaken.
Six years later, they gave birth to the seventh child and only God knows why the child has to go through life with two blinded eyes. Now you judge for yourself whether it is fair?
Hey! hold on to your tears. Have you not forgotten that we all live to win?
One year after their seventh child was born, something they never expected to happen. At that time, I was twelve and about to complete my primary school. I was the fourth child in the family of seven children to lose both my eye-sight.
Now, can you think of any other life challenge that's worse than having four blind children? This is where I admire my parents.
My father and mother are wonderful parents. Even though they are uneducated or have minimum formal education but they are able to take life challenges one after another. They brought up all the seven children - four blind and three seeing, with love and patience.
So, friends, what kind of life challenge that you are facing today? Remember, you have the special gift to win over these life adversities just like my father and mother. Today, three of their four blind children have graduated from the university and two of them graduated with a Master Degree.
One important life lesson my father and mother have given us is the spirit to live to win. Never say die under all circumstances. As the going gets tough, only the tough gets going. This is the legacy that I want to pass from generation to generatio
