So you are planning to live in a loft or you are planning to convert a part of your home into loft. Living in a loft has both its advantages and disadvantages. Let’s have a look at some of the disadvantages one maybe presented with is he/she is resorting to loft living.Loft Plumbing Additions is one of the most important things that one may have to face. One good thing is that you will get the flexibility of choosing the plumbing fixtures that you want to install. That gives you to Design the Bathroom the way you want. Since the Lofts are Stand-Alone Areas of the house therefore you have to do extra Plumbing work in order to make a bathroom attached to the loft. Since the Lofts are at the top most areas of the house therefore the addition of pipes etc also puts extra Strain on the Plumbing system of the house as now it is presented with the extra strain of pumping water to the highest point in the building. This Creates Pressure Problems throughout the piping system in the house. One can usually cater to this by the use of an extra motor.

Transitional issues: Loft Apartments are usually made from buildings which previously had entirely different functions. Sometimes depending on the previous Building Function this Transition and change can be tricky to cater. Some times if its an industrial building then it is even hard to convert it into a loft. Installing electrical Equpiment is usually tricky as you have to look at the current Electrical Layout as well. The Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Layouts and Systems usually cost a lot to repair or Adjust within the existing situations.Insulation Problems: Home owners who have lofts in their upper storeys usually face a lot of insulatio
Problems. Because of the fact that the lofts are located right next to the roofs it deprives the home owners from the attic space. this attic space previously Acted as a buffer zone From the Extremely hot/cold Climate from outside to the Moderate one in the interior environment. With the Addition of the loft, the home Owners Lose much of their Heat and this Results in high heating costs of the home.

Sunlight Issues: Since a loft has Many windows the Owners usually assume that the loft receives a lot of sunlight this is also why lofts are very popular amongst the artist and Architects who Require that sort of home environment. The lighting More depends on hoe high the loft is. For example if the loft is located ins ome Middle floor and the surrounding buildings are even higher as In the Urban centers then these lofts don’t have much Advantages with respect to the sunlight. The Windows are more useful then in terms of viewing the surrounding areas. This is something one really needs to look at with respect to the light before investing their money in buying lofts. It is often That buyers assume they will get a lot of light since a loft but because of the surrounding sky scrapers one is deprived of it and th Prospect of living in a dark Dingy environment is not so pleasing.
