As a technologist, I actually tend to be pretty out of touch. Because I live in the future. I live in a world of products that the general public doesn't even know exist. Where every new start-up sends out Beta release invitations, asking me to touch and play with the latest and greatest apps and tools. So I'm here now to tell you about two innovations that are coming -- or to be more precise, are already here. Social television and wearable computing. I'm seeing see more and more programmers looking at television and saying, "This needs to get better." So now, Android can be plugged into any HDMI-compatible television. Netflix can be streamed on a 4 year old Bravia. By this time next year, you can expect to see social media join with broadcast television -- and a serious change in the second screen experience. We all got a taste of the second big revolution earlier this year, with products such as the FitBit and augmented reality on smartphones. But wearable computing is poised for a big year in 2013. Google will be finally introducing its developer community to Project Glass, that amazing piece of technology revealed at this year's Google I/O. Pebble, the breakout hit from KickStarter, should be releasing an innovative connected e-paper watch to the masses. And you can surely expect Apple to move in with their own take on wearable computing. This will bring the world of user interfaces to an entirely new level. The advances in mobile technology that we've all seen in the past few years will continue. But you can go ahead and bet the farm: The next wave of the mobile revolution will be both sociable and wearable. Visit our blog for updates and more information on Technology PR.

The Quiet Revolution in Sunlight: How Automation and Outsourcing Are Redrawing the Solar Sales Map For years, the image of solar sales was a familiar one: a determined representative, clipboard in hand, going door-to-door under the sun they hoped to harness. It was a model built on human persistence and personal interaction.
