Over the past 30 years as China recorded unprecedented economic growth, the country also witnessed a huge boom in the supply chain-and-logistics sector which resulted in demand for talents in the sector outstripping the available pool of experienced professionals.
Getting the right person with the experience and capability to handle specific projects in the logistics-and- supply chain sector is an awkward task.
This is despite the fact that there are so many professionals in the industry.
When we talk about logistics professionals, we have to be aware that the industry can be divided into several levels such as the senior level executives who are the decision-makers and the others who support the actual operations.
The decision-makers decide on the supply chain, how it works, designing the model suited to a particular business as well as deciding on the technology to be used to support the whole process and which company to use for the job.
In drawing up the whole system, the variables depends on the cargo that needs to be transported and identifying and resolving the most critical factors along the routes used.
A second level of logistics professionals to be considered was the user groups like Walmart, pharmaceutical companies, automobile manufacturers and electronic producers like Philips, which outsourced their third party logistics services to professionals like UPS , Schenker, Agility, Menlo and Logwin to obtain cost reductions and faster delivery times.
Logistic can help e-business and e-business need logistic support.
