You also need to start eating more fiber in your diet. Fiber helps to cleanse your digestive system. Foods rich in fiber make your stomach feel full faster. It keeps you feeling full for longer so you won't feel hungry frequently. Beans are a good source of both lean protein and fiber. Beans reduce harmful cholesterol present in the body while leaving the good cholesterol untouched. Beans are one of the best foods which can help you lose belly fat.
Green leafy vegetables like broccoli and spinach are rich in fiber. They also contain various vitamins and proteins which enhance your overall health.
You must reduce intake of carbohydrates but there are some types of carbohydrates which are good for losing stomach fat. Fruits like peaches, strawberries and apples are rich in these healthy carbohydrates. The carbohydrates you need to avoid are those present in cereals, white bread, refined flour, pasta etc. These are the carbohydrates which get converted and stored as fat in your body. Replace these food items with whole grain foods.
There are some types of healthy fats which can actually help you burn fat. They will also reduce the bad cholesterol in your body. Some foods which contain these healthy fats include walnuts, avocados, blueberry, olives and coconuts.
Another great food for burning belly fat is green tea. It speeds up your metabolism and increases your energy level. Make sure to drink at least a cup every day.
