Whether you are looking to lose a lot of weight or a little weight, here are some tips to help you lose weight faster and to stay motivated.
Invest in a good scale that weighs to at least two hundredths of a pound and weigh yourself every day. You’ll be able to see smaller results, which will help you stay motivated. It’s also important that the scale has a logging feature, or to write down your weight and record your progress. If one day you see your weight go up, you can evaluate the reason immediately and can make any appropriate changes right away.
Tell your friends and family that you want to lose weight. This can be very unpleasant, but it will pressure you to not let them down, helping to keep you motivated.
Find a new hobby. If you are busy doing something you enjoy, it will help take your mind off eating and help you to lose weight faster.
Eat your meals on a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. This automatically cuts down your portion size.
Begin each meal by eating your low calorie fruits and vegetables. Follow that with your proteins because these are very filling. (Black beans and eggs are an excellent source of protein, with almost no sugar or carbs.) Save your high calorie carbs for last. If you choose to eat dessert, eat only half.
Begin jogging for 5 minutes every day. Exercise, running specifically, causes an endorphin rush, which is associated with decreased stress, positive feelings and even relieving pain. Gradually increase the amount of time you jog.
When you reach your target weight, set a threshold of a weight that you will never surpass again. Make it at least 10 pounds above your target weight, because your body can easily fluctuate weight and still be healthy.
Start now to implement these steps, and you will begin to lose weight, have a healthier lifestyle and a better quality life. n

True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThat’s where precision-based training, such as re
