One of the best ways, if not the best, to lose weight is to put your efforts toward jumping rope. Jumping rope is a great exercise with many benefits, and one of the biggest benefits is that of weight loss. If you are willing to put the time into it, then I guarantee that jumping rope will give you desirable results that you would not be able to get from other exercises and programs.

The main thing that makes the jump rope so appealing is the fact that it can be used almost anywhere. As long as you have a space that is wide and tall enough, you can use your rope. Other exercises like running require long distances and consume precious time. But, that is not the case with a jumping rope. You can find a small area, jump rope for around fifteen minutes, and be done.

Workout routines are simple, too. All you have to do is start with a standard jump rope exercise. This requires you to jump with both feet while you rotate the rope above and below you using your wrists. Do this exercise for as long as you are capable of. When you are too tired to continue you can just stop, take a five minute break, and then continue where you left off.

As you become more experienced with the standard jumping rope exercise, you can step up to more difficult jump rope exercises. Some more difficult exercises are alte
ating your feet while you jump, jumping with one foot, and rotating the rope unde
eath you twice under one jump. As you gain more skill with the rope, your jumping rope workout will become more and more effective because these exercises also work your body more.

If you are short on time, there is also a short-cut you can take. Instead of using your daughter's rope or a more professional speed rope, you can try out a weighted jump rope. A weighted rope is just like a normal jump rope except that either the handle or the actual rope is heavier. This makes rotating the rope and jumping a lot harder, thus making you tired faster. It will also help your body burn fat faster.

The jump rope is an amazingly useful tool for you to lose weight. When combined with the right diet, you could start to lose weight faster than you ever imagined. Just make sure that you do not overdo any jump rope workout. If you do it too much you could become injured or excessively fatigued. It is completely acceptable for you to take a break if you are tired. Just drink some water and start back up once you have regained your energy.
