Love and Happiness
Love and Happiness...
It’s what we all want.
We want to be happy. We want to be Loved.
But how much effective time, energy and action do we put into actually achieving Love and happiness?
Looking at popular magazines and media, there are countless ads and articles doing their best to sell us solutions.
Buy this. You’ll look good and someone will Love you.
You gotta have it. It’ll save you money and you’ll be happy.
While these products might bring you a temporary result, they do not provide long-term fulfillment.
So, what is the true way to live a life of Love and happiness?
It’s not anything exte
al to us that will bring joy and connectedness into our existence.
It’s a matter of designing our inner world, being aware of our thoughts and feelings. And then creating a life that reflects our desired values with our words and deeds.
And that calls for effective effort.
What is that you ask?
I just pulled out a paper I’ve kept in my files for years because it describes this important concept so well. This “formula for success” was given to students at the school where I served as a community council member.
It defines effective effort as:
A) Time ~ Do I put in sufficient time to get the job done?
B) Focus ~ Am I working efficiently and without distraction?
C) Resourcefulness ~ Do I reach out for help and know where to go for it?
D) Persistence ~ Do I have “ways” or strategies to figure stuff out?
E) Feedback ~ How and where do I get information on how I am doing?
F) Commitment ~ Do I really try hard? Am I determined to do my best work?
With effective effort in place, you will achieve satisfaction.
And this will increase your confidence, which will enhance your ability to achieve even more.
So if Love and happiness are a priority for you, you’ll want to address each of these aspects of effective effort.
And thankfully, Love School is coming soon to help teach you how to do just that.
As always, thanks for reading and sharing this edition of The Love Post!
I can think of no greater work than creating a more Loving world for ourselves, our children and our children’s children.
May your day be filled with peace, Love and happiness!
