In 6th grade I knew I was reinca
ated from ancient Greece. I knew I had lived in or near the Parthenon and lived the current myths about the Gods and Goddesses.
Many years later I joined my first Metaphysical group and met with them once a week for two years.
People receive messages from Spirit in different ways. Some see pictures, some hear words or see them, and others feel the answer in their gut. I mostly receive words in my consciousness. If I do see a picture it is very real, very vibrant, and I believe it is the truth. Someone once told me that because I mostly heard words that I was tuning into the formless according to Neuro Linguistic Programming. (NLP)

For one of our first group meditations in the class, we were to imagine lifting out of our physical bodies and come back to Earth in a different time, a past life. I saw myself come back to Earth next to the Parthenon. The wind was blowing fiercely and I was playing a flute to "calm down the wind.” To this day on occasions I have heard distant music on a flute. I was also shown a Spiritual gift that I aspire to.
Fast-forward a few more years as I raised my daughter as a single Mother. One day in Malibu, Califo
ia, I met a man at a restaurant where I was working as a waitress. There was an instant attraction; you know that "chemistry" thing. I gave him my phone number and found out soon that he lived a block away from me in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley many miles away.
I started to see him regularly. It was one of those extremely passionate affairs. Once in awhile he would walk over to my house and surprise me.
One night my oldest friend from High School was visiting me. She took an unbelievable instant hate and fear toward him. When he left she was adamant that he never return while she was there. It was a very strange reaction indeed.
A few months later I was out for the evening and my babysitter was taking care of my daughter. When I returned about eleven o'clock she told me that this
man, Bill, had come over and handed her a book. He told her to give it to me and that he had found it on the street on the way over to my house.
I sat at my dining room table and started to look at the book. It was leather bound, the shape of an autograph book, long and narrow. On the cover, etched in color, were small children at the beach wearing bloomer type bathing suits. As I looked through the book it was damp and dirty from the rain. There was something written on only one page.
In black ink there were two different handwritings at the top of a page. One said Jan 09 and the name Vicki. The other side had the word Rose and 10/10/77 To my astonishment 10/10/77 was the current days date!
Within moments I heard windows crashing downstairs on the other side of my courtyard. People started yelling Fire! Fire! I grabbed my five-year-old daughter and ran downstairs past the apartment on fire and to the other side of the street. I sat crossed legged on the street with my daughter on one leg and a neighbor’s child on the other leg. Not one behind touched the street except mine. We were all huddled together.
When the fire was out we headed back home. I put my child to bed and reached for that autograph book. The words Jan 09 seemed like January 1909 as evidenced by the picture of the children with bloomer type bathing suits on the cover. The word Rose was another clue; Bill had a rose tattoo on his arm. He handed me that book on the date that was written in there 10/10/77.
The fire, representing passion, broke out the moment I realized the long ago promise of meeting each other again on that date. I believe we made that pact in the last lifetime to return to each other on the date he "found" that autograph book on the way to my house.
The mysteries of life and death can never be solved until we take our last breath and are ushered into the next world. I know I will say to myself, "Oh yeah, I remember this."
