Andrew Luck leads Heisman run
Four quarterbacks and a running back are currently in the run for the Heisman Trophy, with Andrew Luck of Stanford in the first place. Luck is expected to become the number one overall pick at the next NFL draft, and teams like the Colts, the Dolphins and the Rams are the ones that might make it with his services. On second place we have RB Trent Richardson from Alabama, who displaced QB Russell Wilson from that position and sent him to the fourth one. In third we have Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore and in fifth we have Robert Griffin III from Baylor.

Terrell hoping for any team to call him
The Bengals decided not to sign Terrell Owens for one more season after the wide receiver was down with a torn ACL, but Owens had surgery on April this year, and he seemed to have recovered completely, as he had an intensive workout on Tuesday hoping for representatives of teams to show up, but nobody did. The workout was even televised by the NFL network and ESPN, and Owens and his agent are confident that they will be receiving some calls in the following days. The 37 year old veteran even wore a shirt that with the words “I am” in the front, and “Ready” in the back, and mentioned that he only needs a single team to give him a chance, as he feels confident about his current sporting conditions.

Stosur defeated by Azarenka, again
It seems like Samantha Stosur is still clueless about how to defeat Victoria Azarenka, who has defeated her 5 times straight, with the last loss for the Australian coming at the WTA Championships in Turkey, as she fell to Azarenka in two sets, which means that Stosur, who is the current US Open champion, will have to defeat Li Na if she wants to gain a spot at the semifinals taking place on Saturday.

Texas and St Louis to play tomorrow
There will be no MLB baseball tonight as the fifth game of the 2011 World Series between the Rangers and the Cardinals has been postponed due to rainy weather, and now the game is set to take place tomorrow at 7:05 pm CT. The major league baseball authorities are doing this because they don’t want to have to stop the match once it has started, and they this certainly gives both franchises a bit more of time to think of strategies that can serve them in their quest for a World Series victory.
