Lunch time; we all utterly know that the more prepared you are for all areas of your life, the more successful you will be at accomplishing your goals and achieving your dreams. Going out to lunch is no different; it’s about weighing your options, taking some time to think ahead and choosing wisely.
We all love hitting the road on our way to a nice, relaxed mid-day meal perhaps alone or with friends, but wherever you end up on your pathway to fueling your temple, taking the time and equipping yourself with the tools toward healthy choices and the ability to make wise decisions is crucial to your success. Having lunch whilst out and about entails you giving up the ability to predict what options you will be presented with and requires you to stay focused on your future visions. It demands your continued effort and commitment in the direction of your future ambitions.
Why not practice a few guidelines when proceeding through your lunch date and when you are satisfied with your meal you’ll be proud of you for holding steady and staying dedicated on your journey.
~As you ponder the menu drink a full glass of water before your first course arrives. ~Whenever in doubt, enjoy a large healthy salad before your meal. ~Be aware of creamy soups, rich dressings and heavy sauces. All will be high in calories. ~Instead of partaking in a full sandwich, opt for half with veggies, green salad or soup. ~Turn down side accompaniments such as mayonnaise based salads, potato chips, french fries. ~Ask your server to box up half your order before it arrives if it is a larger entrée. ~When you are comfortably full have your leftovers removed from your grasp or douse them with salt to avoid further temptation. ~If dessert is in order, make it worthy and exactly what you want. If not, don’t waste your time.
Each and every movement that you make during your journey toward better health and fitness requires you taking responsibility for all decisions. By taking charge of your life you are required to change your habits, going out to lunch is just one more example of how you can make a difference and practice your chosen lifestyle.
