MAGNETIC RESONANCE (MR) is a test that uses an electromagnetic field in the diagnostic process to create a detailed picture of the anatomical structures of the human body. With the help of this examination, photos are obtained that, with an accuracy of a few millimeters, allow for advanced diagnostics of a number of medical problems such as tumors, developmental pathologies, stroke, spinal diseases, joint diseases, and senile dementia.

Magnetic resonance imaging is used in situations when it is necessary to deepen the diagnosis and when the result of computed tomography is ambiguous or doubtful. The indications for MR examination, instead of or in addition to CT, are related to the type of disease, the patient's age and the diagnostic problem.

People who perform MRI of the head, please avoid using heavy makeup;

Patients with implanted metallic or electronic foreign bodies, including implants, pacemakers, endoprostheses and neurostimulators are required to inform about this fact when registering for the examination;
In the case of tests requiring the administration of a contrast agent, the patient is asked to drink at least 1.5 liters of fluids within 12 hours on the day preceding the examination;

Please do not bring metal objects into the room with the MR camera, in particular cell phones, credit cards, watches or other electronic devices. Due to the strong magnetic field, these items may be damaged, damage the MR apparatus or cause injury to the test subject;
