The medical College was decided to establish under the institute of Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society which was established in 1958 by MahadevappaRampure and is sustained with the same. M R Medical College was the second private college in the country to get recognition from MCI after KMC, Manipal in 1972, has the vision for the upliftment of the quality of medical education and to reach it to the rural community. The college and its teaching hospital cater health needs of many rural people in effective and cost-friendly custom.
