Maintenance Mechanic Wheatley, Ontario Qualifications: Education Required: Associate’s Degree or Trade Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)rnMust possess a valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license or Red Seal certification as a millwrightrnCertified from a recognized apprenticeship programrnYears of Experience Required: 2-5 years of experiencernAbility to identify and use basic hand/power tools in a safe and efficient mannerrnExcellent troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skillsrnWilling and capable of completing necessary safety training (i.e. lockout, etc.)rnAbility to do some bending, lifting, climb stairs and laddersrnMust be able to read and interpret blueprintsrnMust pass a practical job-related skills test (i.e. tools, measurement, welding)rnExperience with hi-speed packaging equipment will be considered an assetrnExperience in the food industry and general maintenance is an assetrnComputer skills and familiar with CMMS’s systemsrnKey Responsibilities: Performing the Preventive (Pm) and Predictive (Pd) maintenance program including the lubrication programrnUnassembled, maintain, repair and assemble equipment and machineryrnTroubleshoot and test mechanical equipment operationrnCommissioning machinery and equipment according to blueprints and layout plansrnFollow safety guidelines and policies when use hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. As well when painting, cutting steel, welding, use of a cutting torch and terminating wiresrnFollow GMP guidelines and policies at any time, cleaning job area when finished and keep the maintenance shop clean and organizedrnSource and retrieve parts for work in progress or planned work ordersrnCommunication with coworkers, shift supervisors and managers on an emergency or planned jobsrnParticipate in continues improvement projects to increase the reliability of the equipment and processrnParticipation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipmentrnOther general maintenance duties as required
