Make 2020 Your Best Year Ever… The Food Codes Way

I work with a wide cross-section of entrepreneurs, corporate management types and executives. A common thread among all of them is they want to be their best, feel their best and truthfully, look their best, but many are missing the mark.

They push themselves to get so much done, but by day’s end, they are spent. Within minutes of talking with them, I’ve identified the culprit. The foods they are consuming.

Many mistakenly believe what they are eating is good for them, but as my research has revealed, what may be good for one person, may be slowing someone else down.

Food is Not a One Bite Fits All

The first thing I impress upon my clients is this; what may be good for your spouse may not be good for you. One client I work with found that bananas were great for her spouse but terrible for her…at that time.

Each of us has a way to eat that either supports a life filled with vitality and energy or one that is fully depleted.

To know what is best for you will not only allow you to balance your energy, you will balance your weight, hormones and sleep patterns.

It’s NOT About Dieting

The first thing to recognize is that dieting is NOT the solution. Weight loss alone does not give you the health (or energy) you desire. There are plenty of thin people who are not healthy.

Ask most people how many diets they’ve tried, and the numbers can be staggering.

Just as each person’s fingerprints are different, so are each person’s nutritional needs and solutions. You have your own unique health issues, and foods that are healing and health building for one person can cause another person great distress, such as pain, inflammation, bloating, weight problems, allergies, and even disease.

Conscious Eatingr
As busy entrepreneurs, a lot of us will grab something and eat it quickly. Doing this amplifies the problem of weight gain, sluggishness and low energy.

To be a peak performer, including excelling in your job or business, requires you take a more conscious approach to what you eat, when you eat and how you eat.

During my interview with Terri Levine, I talked about this in detail. https://thefoodcodes.com/intuitive-eating-choosing-the-right-food-for-your-body/Purpose Driven Living

According to many experts, living with vibrancy as we age, while maintaining a healthy weight, is based on having a strong sense of purpose. Family, community and volunteering can offer so much depth.

Another aspect of staying healthy as we age is adopting a diet that is long-term rather than the latest fad diet. You must base your dietary needs on what your body is asking for, not what the latest craze is.

Most diets will give you a short-term result, but are not sustainable over the long-term. This amplifies the yo-yo dieting most people subject themselves to.
What’s the Solution?

It can be so confusing to know what to eat for good health and peak performance.

Based on decades of research and consulting with clients regarding their eating habits, I discovered the best way to eat a healthy diet is to “tune in” to what your body needs. Simply put, eat intuitively.

Intuitive eating is the most powerful way to give your body what it needs based on you, individually. In my book, The Food Codes; Intuitive Eating for Every Body, I teach you how to tap into what your body requires to live a life with passion, vibrancy and purpose.
