One of the easiest and best ways to mark your property is by using fences. We have different types of fences that include the wooden fence, the wire fences, and pole fences. The most popular one is the barbed wire fence because it is easy to install and it is cheap.
Uses of a fence
You can see the different types of uses from the Barbed wire manufacturers. These include protection, maintaining visibility, and grouping of property. By the use of the fence, one is sure where one’s property begins and ends. It helps keep relationships with the neighbors on a pleasant level. Both know that it will become worse when you cross the line. At times, they chip in to make one part of the boundary line. At places that adjoin the jungle, the owner must put up the fencing.
One of the many uses of the barbed wire is containment. By containment we mean we don’t want the people wandering into our property or animals wandering off it. Along the limit of your property, you set off a wire fence. This will help restrict unhindered movements of people and animal. They will have to use the gates for entering and leaving the land.
Separating property with fences
Another use of the barbed wire is separation. When you want to cordon off areas that you use for different purposes, you can use the barbed wire. Say, you have a storage area where you keep your spares and tools. You don’t want to keep them inside the building because the workers are always using them.
Cost of installation
Barbed wire is cheap and easy to install. If you calculate the per acre cost, it would be like this. Let us say one acre (43,560 square feet) is 210 x 210 = 44,100 square feet. You put support poles at 8 feet distance. This means you need 105 poles. The cost per pole is 150 INR. You will use 1 kg of wire to make 4 strands between two poles. The cost of 1 kg wire is 110 INR. The labor cost will work out to about 1,200 INR for four days work. Every day you will be able to finish 25 poles both digging and stranding the wire. So, you will finish four sides in four days. So, you will spend 16,950 INR for fencing one acre for material and labor.
The length of barbed wire depends on the thickness of the wire you choose. It comes in a standardized weight of 30 kg per roll. So, you get 190 meters for 12x12 SWG and 250 meters for 12x14 SWG. If you use 14x14 SWG, the length is 320 meters. You can get an estimate of this from the Razor wire manufacturers who supply your fencing material. At times, they may not have the type of wire you need. So you will have to search for the proper supplier for your material.
People have used barbed wire since the olden days. It helps preserve your privacy while not costing the earth. To be sure you have the right material, consult your supplier first before you place the order.
