They'll transfer you through a nlot of screens where you answer "no" to the goods they are attempting to nmarket to you. Eventually, you get to confirm your order.nnThese questions aren't placed there to annoy you; they are placed there nbecause businesses have spent countless hours testing these strategies to nmake more money. As a vendor, you should be testing this as well. Why not nuse this method and apply it to your online business? Perhaps you can offer a ndigital version of your product at a cheaper rate and upsell the same product nbut in hard copy format. You can program your shopping cart to list the nproducts you sell so your customers will want to upgrade their package, they ncan do so immediately. Keep in mind that many people prefer hard copy nproducts as opposed to digital products. nnOnce the order is complete and your customers come to your "Thank You" npage, take the liberty to advertise to them as well. Do not create a simple n"Thank You" page as most beginning online businesses do. You want to get nthe most out of your shopping cart so sprinkle some advertisements in there nas it is another great chance for you to upsell to your customers. For an neffective upsell, I recommend that you advertise an affiliate product; a nproduct that is complimentary to them. Why is this important? Because nthey've already entered their credit card information into your shopping cart. nAn even better tactic is to program your shopping cart to fill out their ninformation automatically if they decide to purchase your upsell product. nWhat I described above is the tactic in its primitive form. There are many ncreative ways to utilize the tactic. nnA Joint Venture Partnership is also a profitable way to make money as an nupsell as well. Some of these partnerships offer a pay-per-lead; this is where nthey pay you for each lead you supply them. Another upsell technique is ndoing a "By the way" upsell. This basically comes at the end of the "Thank nYou" page where you try to upsell them one last time by offering a special nnegotiated deal to your joint venture partner. It makes no difference what nproduct you are trying to upsell. It could be anything from a software nprogram to a printed magazine. There are joint venture partnerships out nthere that will pay you a decent sum because half the work is already done nfor them. They are looking for people that are already in their specific nmarket. That's an absolute killer tip. This idea is definitely something that nshould not be glanced at. Definitely take advantage of this.n
