Making it to Your Highschool Reunion

It would be a total bag of lies to say that most people go through high school loving each and every day, never wanting to leave their locker walls. The truth, almost always is that high school is a tough point in one's life, from many stand points. Each day presented a new opportunity to grow embarrassed or torn apart by some form of social clique, or just an embarrassing memory from the previous week. It seemed like it took forever to shake off a bad day, and yet you almost always had to wake up and do it all over again. With such a relentless way of life, one no doubt wants to stay away as long as possible. That means that many will not plan on attending their respective highschool reunion celebrations no matter what. These events are no doubt a dreaded part of one's post high school life, but fear not, because in a lot of cases a highschool reunion can really turn out for the best. You see, most of the time a high school reunion is held on the premises of one's local high school, and it is an interesting way of traveling back in time to remember, even if only a few instances, the good times. After all, it is not as if there were zero good memories of high school, and so you may as well try to live in the good and not dwell on the bad. Not that the bad are easily forgotten however, surely not, and it can be challenging to get over them, but at a reunion you are giving a whole world you left behind a second chance. That is a pretty notable sign of growing up on your part if you are able to go and find out whether or not people have matured. For all you know though, some people may remember you in positive ways you would not have expected, maybe making a new fond memory out of high school. Actually, for all you know, you may make it to the reunion and strike up a friendship with someone you had completely overlooked or had overlooked you in the past, and you may find a life long friend. Perhaps one can say that this is a long shot, and maybe so, but at least it's one positive way of looking back into the past and giving it a second chance. Now, all one needs to remember the next time a highschool reunion circles around is that there may be a ripe opportunity for you to renew the past. After all, it can be hard to carry around the memory of the past, especially if it is remarkably bad, and so one should take advantage of the rare chances to correct that memory. Or perhaps, at least, make a new memory to take on into the future with them. That is really the best way to look at a high school reunion, as a second chance to reclaim the image of yourself that you were never putting forward, and really understand that you fit into high school in a larger way than others may have made you feel.
