Golf is a sport that one can enjoy in solitude or in the company of friends, family and others. One of the most popular and common ways to have a great time golfing and interacting with others to hold a tournament of sorts or more often called a scramble.rnScrambles are held at golf courses nationwide. Some are put together by golf organizations themselves or by organizations such as nonprofits, or even amongst friends and co-works as a way to enjoy some time outside and play in the ever popular sport of golf.rnPutting together your own golf scramble can range from the very simple to the very complicated depending on what the end goal result is.rnFirst cover the basics of your scramble, such as the creation of teams. Depending on the amount of players that are going to be attending the scramble teams are comprised of four or teams of two. The most common is teams of four. The basic run down of how a team progresses is every person on the team tees off on each hole. Then the person with the best shot off the tee is selected and the rest of the team takes their second shot from that selected shot. Then the same is done for the next hit. Best shot and the rest of the team continue from that spot and so on till the hole is completed. This way it is literally the team moving the ball down the hole. Which is an added delight being that typically golf is a game based off of an individual’s play.rnThere are multiple variations of how the scramble is played with many different names and rules such as Texas scramble, Las Vegas scramble, and reverse scramble just to name a few. However the overall goal of the scramble can vary to literally anything.rnSome may put a scramble together to play with friends with personal bets or prizes like the winning teams gets taken to dinner or something simple like that. Companies may put on scrambles for their employees as a way to let them have a good time and create stronger coworker relationships. Many times the company will offer prizes to the winning team.rnAnother and probably the most popular is a scramble for charitable organizations. Golfers can enroll to play to help donate to a worthy cause. The charity may be put on by one larger organization and partnered with other business that sponsor to raise money for the charity. Many of these charity scrambles are a great way for the golf community and any advocate of golfing to give back to their community or to those in need and have a great time doing what they love.rnA scramble can be created by anyone and played at any course in the world. Golfers staying at resorts like Thousand Hills Golf Resort have a great outlet to come up with some truly spectacular scrambles! Scrambles with local themes are very popular amongst the pro and the armatures and enjoyed by all.
