The use of promotional methods also helps in building the corporate identity of an organization. Entrepreneurs use many corporate materials and promote them in the market. They design these materials in such a way so that it appears inimitable and distinguishes their products and services from that of the competitors. This gives them an edge over their contenders. Unique designing of the corporate materials also draw maximum potential customers towards the product and services. One of such corporate material is labels employed to provide an identity and brand name to the product. Quintessential designing of the labels is essential to allure the customer towards the product in the marketplace.
There are main attributes or features of a label that a designer should consider while designing an attractive label. You can include the logo of a company. The logo represents an organization. In other words, it is the face of the company. Its presence on the label identifies a product with a particular brand. A logo can also enable the potential customer to distinguish a particular product from a competitor’s product. A designer can also add graphics in the label. You should not stuff the graphics with the text in the label. Such cramming of the graphics might make the label appear incomprehensible for the viewer and he might choose a competitor’s product. A designer should make enough space for the graphics in the label. The graphics used in the label should convey a message to a viewer. They can contain any pictorial description that reflects the core activity, vision or nature of an organization. For instance, on the label of fashion jewelry the graphics of an ice cream does not befit. A designer can design an oyster surrounded by pearls or any such similar picture. Graphics can also trigger the imagination of a viewer that engages his mind. In this way, a viewer gets attracted towards the product. The size of a label should be standard so that it becomes lucid even when the viewer views the product at a distance.
Design label in a way so that the product becomes more visually appealing to the eyes of a potential customer. A designer should incorporate alluring elements in a label of a product so that he can attract customers in a fraction of a second.
