However, windows 7 has a little different architecture than its predecessors such as windows XP or Vista, but following steps can really be helpful, if you are trying to uninstall Norton from your system, which is powered with Windows 7 operating system: • Locate the Software from Programs and Features: if you are recently migrated to Windows 7 from XP, then you will surely get confused while finding “Add/Remove Programs”, which is not available in Windows 7. This feature has been changed to “Programs and features” in Windows 7. So, you just need open the “Programs and Features”. In order to perform that, click on the start button and the option namely “Control Panel” respectively, which appears like a pearl button, situated on the bottom left corner of your window screen. After that, you need to click on “Programs and Features”, which is placed under the option named as “Programs”. So whenever, you Install Norton or any other software application, it will be appeared under this section. • Uninstall the Software: After that, you need to select the particular software, which is to be deleted and click on the button namely “Uninstall” to delete it from your system. This process may require administrator’s permission too, where you need to supply admin’s password to initiate the process. But, if you are still unable to delete the software manually from this process, the another way to perform the same task can be achieved by downloading and running Norton’s uninstallation utility, which can be downloaded from Norton’s website. So, even if you are using Windows 7 operating system, the above-mentioned troubleshooting steps will assuredly help you to manually remove the Norton antivirus software from your system, if it is required.
