What you need to put your business on Facebook? It seems that everywhere you look there are people telling you that Facebook is where you need to be connected to the Internet. They have all these great reasons you should put your business on Facebook, it's viral, it's the best way to advertise to a particular demographic group is the number one website in the world. While all these things are true, that does not mean that Facebook is the magic solution for all businesses.

Facebook is great for local businesses trying to expand their customer base. Using things like Facebook applications can start a viral campaign for a small business in your city quite easily. Basically, is as follows. First you start with a great deal, "no snack at the bar and Grill Joe." That the place to offer a Facebook application so that when someone clicks through to get the coupon you are allowed (and encouraged) to tell their friends about it. Once you have created the application advertised in your local area and in a short period of time you have an application that has spread virally through your area.

Facebook is great for people selling information products online. If you have a Facebook product information is a great way to build a list and market to people who are interested in what you have to sell. Due to the fact that Facebook can be directed so specifically that you are advertising for you can focus only on people who have an interest in their area of specialization. You could use this advertising to build a successful fan page where you can sell your stuff to your prospects over and over again.

FB is great for building relationships with people who might not otherwise have access. Are you planning a joint venture product? FB can sometimes be a great way to connect with people in your market who have complementary skills that make great JV partners. A warning would be to refrain from sending spam to these people or upset them about your idea. If successful in your market will most likely get a lot of offers. You can also do customer surveys in the FB, what they are saying about their products, which could be done to improve the product, etc?

Facebook marketing is not for everyone. If you are trying to build an Internet marketing business successfully, we must not forget that email marketing, article marketing, blogs, PPC, and many other ways to get your message can be more effective for your particular business. In a recent conversation with Nicole Dean I said it was a success in the use of webinars in my business, then asked his advice. She simply said, "do more webinars!" I send you the same advice, FB is not for everyone, but try it and see if it works for your company.
