Meditation Basics - Learning How to Listen to That Silence Within

It truly is amazing how every Spiritual book you read can be broken down into simply saying be still within. No doubt about it be still within can be experienced through the practice of meditation and learning how to listen to that silence within.

In the Bible, it speaks of how God is always with you, yet more than that it speaks of how when your unity with God grows, your ability to overcome and conquer your fears grows as well.

For instance, allow your mind to resonate with the following words from the Bible...

"You who live in the shelter of the Most High,... will say to the Lord, "My Refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."

As your mind resonates with the words above begin to realize, just realize that God is within you and that the way to find shelter of the Most High as a refuge and fortress in God is by going deep within.

And as you can imagine one of the most empowering and effective ways that you can begin to go deep within is through the practice of meditation.

When you do so, you will quickly begin to realize that when you are fearful you can quiet your mind by shifting your focus within you towards that Divine Love, Joy and Peace which is the power of God.

As you reflect about your life you can remember that you are always cared for, provided for and protected within that Divine Presence. Take a deep breath in and as you exhale again allow yourself to recognize that no matter where you are or what you are experiencing, God is here within you and the practice of meditation on a daily basis will create an empowering pathway to that power within you.

What's more, as you grow in your knowledge and awareness of this you can quickly begin to realize that this truth also extend to your Loved ones as well as you offer them your Love through visualizing them protected and guided in all ways.

In the end, through the practice of meditation you can tap into that source of God and Divine Love that is within you so that whether you are at home, school, work, or travelling around the world you and those you Love are in God's care. Allow yourself to place your trust in that Divine Love within you and see all happy, healthy and enjoying life.

You will also be glad to know that I am discovering that Love, Joy and Peace within me through the practice of Yoga Nidra which is a guided meditation technique that drops you into the deepest states of your Being which helps create an empowering pathway to that shelter of the Most High.
