Meenakshi Wali: A Successful Interior Decorator from a Small Town

Being a small-town girl cannot stop you from achieving your dreams. Meenakshi Wali is a living example of this. Born and brought up in the sleepy little town of Rohtak, she has overcome all odds to be whoever she wanted to be. Without showering too much praise on her, lets take a look at this gritty 26 year old girl who is an Interior decorator by profession. Meenakshi Wali was born and brought up in Rohtak, a small town in Haryana. Her family originally belonged to Delhi but due to her father’s posting, the family had to move to this small town. Her parents ensured that she study in a reputed public school and get the best of education. Academically bright, she studied science in her higher senior secondary and passed it with excellent grades. After school, she decided to move to Delhi to pursue the subjects of her choice. Interior decoration was something she was interested in since childhood. She decided to pursue a course in the subject from a reputed institute in Delhi. Clearing a tough competitive exam, she secured a seat for herself in the college and finally it was time to move to Delhi. Convincing her parents to allow her to move to Delhi was a tall task. Even though the family had relatives staying in the city, but she had decided to stay on her own. Her parents were quite apprehensive to send her to the capital as they were apprehensive about the reputation of the city being unsafe for women. Meenakshi Wali was finally able to convince her parents who allowed her to stay in the college hostel. The genuine interest in the subject helped her complete the course with flying colours. After completing the course she got a job with a well-known home décor company. That gave a perfect start to her career and she worked with the company for 2 years. After that she moved to another company that not only offered a higher salary but an opportunity to grow as well. After working with the company for 3 years, she felt she was prepared to work independently. Now-a-days, she is working independently. She is happy with the choices that she has made in life and considers herself lucky enough to be able to do what she likes. Well-settled career wise, Meenakshi Wali is all set to tie the knot by the end of this year.
