What do you worry about most when it comes to your finances and your debt or credit card repayments? It seems that men and women have different perspectives and to think differently about their finances. The survey was conducted to determine whether men and women thought differently about their finances, or the same.
Women tend to view their current debt levels, while men tend to look to the future and are more inclined to plan ahead when it comes to your finances. Women worry more about how they are going to pay all your current credit card bills, store cards and loans, together with its housing, commercial and subsistence costs associated with three-quarters of women are doing, while less than 50% of men worry about the same thing . Only 13% of men know what their current level of debt.
While the men are laid back about their current debt levels, they are better prepared for the future. Men better to invest your money in half of all men, investing in the ISA and only 35% of women doing the same thing. Only five out of ten women, with men in a savings account, six out of ten lead. Three-quarters of people paying into a pension when they retire, while only half of women preparing for retirement.
Only what has been found to be very little difference when it came to our finances was the fact that both men and women have little knowledge about credit reports and how they work, though we think we do. Three-quarters of men and women said they were new, which would affect the credit scores and how companies in their decision, but almost all have at least one question wrong when asked about credit reports. Only 5% of men and women to check their credit report within the past year.
One of four people asked did not realize that the late payments affect your score, just over 40% of people know that if you request a credit regularly then it may also affect your credit score. Three-quarters of people mistakenly thought that if you have not paid the household bills that will affect the decision taken by the lenders. Incredibly, 60% of men and 67% of women felt that the credit reference agencies to make decisions about credit applications, due to the credit card companies, banks and other lenders to make a decision.
Knowing your credit score and understand how credit scoring works is the only way to know where you stand financially and help you make better decisions about how and when to apply for credit.
