Menu Ideasr
Sometimes the hardest thing about eating at home every night is to decide what to cook dinner! Some examples of menu stir your imagination. You can make your own list of favorite combinations so when you are brain dead but still need to plan, you can choose a menu that your family enjoyed it. When I started, I found it very useful to plan your week's worth of meals and make a grocery list from that. I've learned to reserve one night for experiments or leftovers, or simply help "pantry" dinner, where a hurry. I still find my busy weeks to go much more smoothly when I have a dish I'm going to make a list, but I do not assign a date to one of them. I just make a list and choose something from the list depending on what day it was. (Or, select the night before, if anyone needs defrosting.)
There are many different ways to plan your menu, but my view is that any way is better in any way. For one thing, if you write down what you eat you tend to skip fast food garbage on the way home because you have already planned a meal. You'll save money and your health at the same time! In addition, if you write your plan down, you can see that you do not eat chicken five nights a week.
Rotating Menur
Some people like to write up to two weeks' worth of menus, and then repeat, leaving a spot or two new recipes to try out or leftovers. Other people write month's worth it. Some people like to have focused on the season, so they could rotate the menu every two weeks to seasons, with more stews and soups in winter and summer barbecue and salad.
I like to write down the value of this week's menu because I usually go shopping once a week. Maybe eating purposes, such as eating more fish, vegetarian dishes, or having one night a week. Make a plan for the week easier to fit into these changes in your life.
Simple Listr
My preferred style now depends on what week it is! Some I know within a week will be busy, I tend to plan around the loss leaders for each dinner at the grocery store to shop in the menu options, and then follow the plan. When I'm having a slow week, I want to try new recipes, so I spend a little time perusing cookbooks and choose something new, then making a quick list of other tried-and-true favorites without assigning a specific day to nothing. I can also switch plans at the last minute, and Fried Rice with remaining beef or chicken, and sandwiches tha
I had planned since the day turned chilly, for example.
Category Day
To keep yourself from getting bored with eating "chicken every night (or what is your emergency meal), try to create variety, for example, the plan:
* Fish
* Pasta or rice
* Home
* Vegetarian
* Red Meat
* Beans
* Eggs and cheese
Having completed a template causes you to be somewhat creative and keep your menu from being bored. Take a look at this week's specials at the grocery store and plan. Find new recipes to keep the creative juices flowing.
Daily or nearr
It has never been my style, but I know people who shop and cook in this way. Some commercial uses and have time to go every day and buy the evening dinner. Others may plan a day or two in advance, but no further. If you love to shop and live where it is convenient to buy fresh foods more often, it can work.
Healthy Tip
A recent article I read suggested thinking of fruit and vegetables because of the four color categories: yellow / orange, green, blue / purple, and red. Your goal should be to eat a healthy diet from the color groups in a mixture of the week. Keep in mind as you plan your menu and experiment with some new vegetables!
