The new corporate symbol in which the word "Microsoft" is in gray used for branding and marketing work and this font is also used for Windows Vista. This year is an incredibly exciting year for company as it is preparing itself to launch new and exciting versions of all products which includes Microsoft office 2013, Xbox services, Windows Phone 8, Windows 8 OS, Visual studio 2012 and many more.
Microsoft's logo has two components: the logotype and the symbol. Logotype uses the Segoe font and symbol's squares of color which includes Red, Green, Blue, Yellow are intended to express the company's diverse portfolios of products. The company has already updated and implemented the new logo on its website and very soon it will cover all the stores of Microsoft all over the world.
Along with the new computer and smartphone Oses, the Microsoft office updates as well as new Xbox services. You will get a common look and feel across these products providing a familiar experience on Pcs, tablets, phones, and Tvs.
Like all the other companies Microsoft trademarks its logo and news organization and others have to be agree by several specific terms of services before they can download logos for use in their publications. The company is also introducing a new logo for Windows 8, the operating system and Office also supported a new logo for "consumer preview", the new office suite.
The logo takes its inspiration from their product design principles while drawing upon the heritage of their brand values, colors and fonts. The colored squares are intended to represent the different Microsoft's products such as Windows (light blue), Xbox(green), and Office(Orange). There were some criticism running around that the logo font and color palate are just similar to Google's design. Also, it's not a particular exciting look for the company that's hoping to make a splash this fall with the new launches of devices. Some have praised that the company is coming up with a simple, clean logo that simply conveys the company's goal of bringing its products together.
The urge to portray the latest logos and new product launches as signaling the future of Microsoft is important to the company that has gone through a rough area as well.
