Officially known as the United Mexican States; Mexico is the fifth largest country in the America by total area and the thirteenth largest independent country in the world. With an approximate population of 112 million, it is the eleventh most populous country and the most populous Spanish-speaking nation. It is located between latitudes 14° and 33°N, and longitudes 86° and 119°W in the southern portion of North America. The Tropic of Cancer effectively partitions the country into temperate and tropical zone. It experiences one of the world's most diverse weather systems. With over 200,000 different species, it is the home of 10–12% of the world's total biodiversity. Mexico is also considered the second country in the world in ecosystems and is fourth in overall species. In terms of economy it has the 13th largest nominal GDP and the 11th largest by PPP (purchasing power parity. According to Goldman Sachs, it will have the 5th largest Economy in the world, by 2050. It is the twenty-third highest spender on tourism in the world, and is the highest in Latin America. The vast majority of tourists come from the Canada and United States. Others come from Asia, Latin American countries and Europe. In Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index, 2008; it was fifth among Latin American countries, and ninth in the America. As regards the communications; telecommunications industry is mostly dominated by Telmex, the Mexican satellite system is domestic and operates 120 earth stations, usage of radio, television, and Internet is prevalent. There are about 1,410 radio broadcast stations and 236 television stations in total.
Officially Estado Libre y Soberano de Jalisco or Free and Sovereign State of Jalisco, it is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is situated in Western Mexico. Jalisco is considered as one of the important states in Mexico because of its history as well as its natural resources. Many of the traits of Mexican culture, particularly outside Mexico, are originally from Jalisco, such as ranchera music, jaripeo, mariachi, tequila etc. With a total area of 78,599km2, Jalisco becomes the seventh largest state in Mexico, and is made up of a diverse terrain that includes beaches, forests, lakes and plains. Altitudes in the state vary from between 0 and 4,300 meters above sea level from the coast to the top of the Nevado de Colima . Most of the state has a temperate climate with humid summers which are tropical. There is a distinct rainy season from June to October. The climate can be divided into 29 different zones from hot to cold and from very dry to semi moist. The major tourist areas in the state are Puerto Vallarta, the Costalegre and Los Altos Regions, the Guadalajara metro area , the Montaña Region and Lake Chapala . The economy of the state accounts for 6.3% of Mexico’s GDP. It is ranked third in socioeconomic indicators behind Nuevo León and the Federal District of Mexico City . The economy Jalisco earns just fewer than six percent of Mexico foreign earnings from tourism and employment from the various multinational corporations located in the state.
Gringo Gulch is a famous area by the mountains of Puerto Vallarta. This place was named after the group of foreigners, often referred to as "gringos", who settled in the area during the 1950s and 1960s. Gringo Gulch is established in down tow

Casa Kimberley was originally a gift Richard Burton bought for Elizabeth Taylor in the 1960's. Casa Kimberley has since been converted into a bed-and-breakfast. The bed-and-breakfast also provides a tour of the area every Sunday. The tour is of about $8 per person. If one goes to Puerto Vallarta, one should not forget to visit Gringo Gulch.
