Montreal is one of the liveliest cities the world has seen and this probably is the reason for Montreal being a tourist-loved destination. There is so much to see and do in Montreal that you will find yourself at a loss.

City Overview:

Montreal is the largest city of the French-speaking Quebec province of Canada. It is the technical, economical, art and commerce hub of Quebec particularly and Canada in general. Being situated on island, it is having scenic landscape which surely needs to be explored once at least.

Places You Must Visit:

First of all you need to see the Montreal's Downtown which is a perfect blend of modern tall edifices and the historic, beautiful churches. Downtown Montreal houses a number of famous museums, departmental stores, restaurants and posh hotels.
Underground City in Montreal is another popular tourist destination. As the name suggests, this underground city is home to several shops, cafés, restaurants, cinemas and even banks. So, in case you are visiting Montreal in winters you might want to save yourself from the bone-chilling breeze of the city while still strolling around.
If you crave for Asian culture and cuisine, you need to visit Chinatown. It is having several cafés and restaurants to give you a taste of Asian food.
Quarier du Musee or Museum Quarter is the art, culture and fashion hub of Montreal. You will find various fashion boutiques and art galleries here, like the famous Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Montreal is famous for its thrilling night life all over the world. One of the best place for finding bars and clubs in Montreal is Rue St. Laurent. Plus, you can also visit the bar district; Rue Ste-Catherine.

Famous Festivals:

Montreal holds numerous festivals all year round but the most popular ones are: Just for Laughs festival (July), Montreal International Fireworks competition, Beer and Cider tasting festival (June) and several music festivals.
