MOTIVATION TO ACHIEVE HAPPINESS

Life Coaching, a relatively new term, is a methodology where a professional, the coach, engages in a harmonious and human relationship in the design and planning of a person's future. That is, Life Coaching helps the person to establish intentions and goals from a holistic perspective, rather than help them to overcome situations of their past.  To be effective the relationship between the person and the motivational coach should be long term. In this way, the coach can discover the strengths of the person helping him define his goals in life, and discover the way to achieve them, always focused on a positive attitude towards the achievement.

In Life Coaching what is really sought is an approximation as accurate as possible between the dreams of the person and their reality. For that, we must explore two aspects. On the one hand, how the person sees his own reality, and on the other, what he really wants. That is, the motivational coach helps the individual to define his vision, in order to identify his mission in life. This alignment between desires, path, and goals will end up leading the person to achieve a satisfying life which will inevitably bring him more happiness.

The motivational coach acts as a kind of psychologist, who helps the individual explore his or her mind until it finds its way, and helps it in the process. To achieve that, one of the pillars of coaching is mental reprogramming. We could say that the human being is subject to several types of mental programming during his life. The one provided by their parents, by the school, by religions, by some philosophical theories, by dogmas, by some significant influences (other relatives or friends), etc.

All these programmings that our mind has received, are assembled and conforms what Freud defined as the "EGO" and the "SUPER EGO", that is, what I am and what I should do. According to this programming, the individual acts within self-imposed limits that lead him to have results consistent with his actions.

if the system of values and fundamental beliefs of the person are not harmonious and are not aligned with the results they aspire to, then the result is an average life, but in almost always, they are not happy. What's more, many specialists believe that people hurt themselves or others only when they can not find a better way to meet their needs. This is where the re-programming of the person's mind comes into play. Therefore, education that empowers people to generate positive change in their lives is one of Life Coaching's goals.

 

A motivational coach helps the person to find focus, identify their goals, monitor their progress and maintain their motivation throughout the process. In addition, it provides the necessary assistance so that simultaneously the person focuses his mind on the goals he wants or has set as a goal, develops the correct and necessary attitude to carry out the appropriate actions to fulfill its goals.
