Every now and then you have a day where that little negative voice in the back of your mind is continually trying to bring you down and bring you unstuck. It's that voice that says 'You're ugly', 'You can't do this' or 'You won't succeed at this'. I know I have them now and again, and I think everybody experiences this at some stage. The most important thing to remember here is that you are not alone and you can overide these thoughts with positive self talk. You see, the more you let them in the more influence they will have. The worst thing you can do is to let them control your day, what might start with one minor negative thought, can quickly transpire into many. Fortunately you do have the ability to overpower these thoughts and drown them out so you can get back to being positive and productive. A simple strategy I use, is to immediately just start rambling on in my head with positive self talk, 'I am great', I am perfect', I am awesome' I am a attractive'....Whatever you like as long as it is positive. Don't analyse what you are saying, just say it, and say it as fast as you can until you forget why you were doing it in the first place. What I find is that after five or so minutes, I'm cured, and can start moving forward and focussing on constructive positive things I need to accomplish, to achieve my goals. The human brain is like a sponge, it soaks up what ever it can and turns it into a belief. I guess what I am trying to say here is that if you have a strategy to form and condition positive belief, eventually there will be no room left for negative belief. Sure they will creep back in occasionally, but the worst thing you can do is let them multiply. Get on top of your negativity straight way so you can move forward and concentrate on feeling good.
My focuss with this article is for lose weight enthusiats. Don't get down if you don't lose weight or drop centimeters every week, just remain positive and continue to plan and execute. We all hate rejection and failure but that's just part of the game of life. Unfortunately everbody experiences it, it's how you deal with it that can significantly accelerate your results. Spending time dwelling on failure is only going to prolong your transformation goals. The quicker you can train you mind to work with your body, the quicker you will achieve your goals, after all negativity is a waste of time and energy, energy that could be spent on achieving. For those people out there that have not yet read Metal Mindset, do so, as I am confident you will find something positive to take away.
