My First Cappuccino

It was in South America, in Argentina where I enjoyed a drink of my original cappuccino. I took a trip there with some associates for twenty one days. I always love to travel to places I have not come across yet. It was a chance I could not let down and that is how I was able to get to Argentina. Argentina is a very lovely country and the people there are very pleasant. We slept both in the city and on a farm in the Pampas province that belonged to friends. On that ranch, we rode and gulped down on Yerba Mate tea with the gauchos, and it was truly the most wonderful adventure ever. I could actually make out the dissimilarity in the way they live their life as compared to ours at home. Yet, because I am more of 'a night person', it suited me. It was constantly very late when we went to bed and a scrumptious meal was readied for us as soon as we roused from bed at almost one hour before the strike of twelve noon. Then we would ride around the farm, exploring, just absorbing everything in. Once we are finished horseback riding around the ranch, the time would now be nearing 4 in the afternoon. We then would rest on the porch as we munched on the newly picked figs from trees that flourished nearby and pulled out a book to read or, visited the others in the neighborhood and next, before we went out to dinner we ate some small snack. All of us typically went to the local restaurant to eat evening meal but not until one hour before twelve midnight since that is the time when patrons begin to come in. We dined on unsullied Argentine beef and it was definitely tasty and together with some vegetables that looked like it was just picked up from the garden. Certainly, the best portion of the dinner was dessert. Dessert consisted of fresh fruit, typically a pear, or a pastry with cappuccino. The group lingered finishing our dessert up till well into the wee hours of the next day. Resting with classiness, that is how the Argentineans unwind. That coffee that originated from Italy that is made with a mixture of espresso, hot milk and foam is called cappuccino and it was among the tiny restaurants in Argentina that I had my first cup of it. Every cup of cappuccino that came next has been a source of joy. In fact, the source of the term cappuccino is that of a more holy character, that brings back 5 centuries to the priests of the Capuchin order. Cappuccino is an Italian term that denotes hood. This term pertains to the brown and long pointed cowls that the priests use. The source of how cappuccino was created is faced with numerous debates but in spite that, several people still consider that it was a Capuchin monk named Marco 'd Aviano who created it during the 17th century. It would seem that this transpired after the struggle of Vienna, during 1683, even though everybody also thought this as a fabrication. Not a single person really has the knowledge of the factual beginnings of the drink a lot of individuals enjoy each day. It was in the year 1901 when the original espresso machine driven by the use of steam was made by Luigi Bezzera, a man of Italian origin. It was only Desiderio Pavoni though, who was an Italian too, who popularized the cappuccino that we enjoy these days when he obtained Bezzera's patent on the espresso device in 1945, conducted experiments and improved its procedures. Bezzera's plan was to yield a cup of coffee with haste (espresso in Italian means fast ), so his people would take shorter rests. The speed of the espresso was amazing however the bitter taste was not. The problem of the espresso mechanism was corrected by Pavoni. The bitterness was eliminated thus producing espresso that had a perfect taste. In 1927, the first La Pavoni Espresso Machine was installed at Regio's in New York, and enhancements have been made along the way and developed to what we know it at present. You don't have to travel to Argentina, or Italy for a fine cup of cappuccino. You can make it in your own home using one of the cappuccino machines on the market - yes, indeed, making cappuccino has come a long way since that first cup in 1901. When friends and family members convene at home, we regularly delight them with our very own cappuccino subsequent to dinner. It is a reminiscence that I brought with me from Argentina - the enjoyment of friends, a good meal and lingering over a pear or a sweet treat and cappuccino. What's more, our guests are often delighted to produce their own cappuccino and they simply like the smell it gives. Although, for me, it is more than that, I am easily brought back to my first taste of Argentinean cappuccino, to the tiny corner table where I had my first cup. Make your own coffee at home using a coffee maker and take pleasure in the fresh brewed cup of coffee. At www.safehomeproducts.com offers affordable prices.
