To be a healthy and happy person you have to take part in life, you have to be ready to participate in all things that make life worth living. Health is an important part of life, maintaining balance is another part of life and having vision and peace of mind completes the circle. Many of us live a life that is so full of “busyness” that we forget to find quiet time for ourselves, time to withdraw from the world we live in and create a separate world that is ours alone. This is where vision comes in, and if I may, I would like to give you my personal view on vision. We often think of vision as something that we see through our eyes, sometimes needing glasses to make our vision clearer. I like to think of vision as that quiet place within myself that I can go to at any time, a place of fertile soil, where I can plant and grow visions of my own. Visions are images we can create with our thoughts. It does not mean setting your mind on something or holding a particular thought in mind at all times. What it does mean is that you must think clearly and allow the thought to flow and allow Universal Mind to operate on it. The belief system I follow has taught me that there is a Power in the Universe and that It is ours to use. It is a Creative Power that allows us to use our imagination to create visions or images. Since we can envision anything, we possess limitless possibilities. This Power that moves the world and governs the stars is within each and every one of us. The sad part is that so few of us mortals ever tap this Power. This Power (vision) can lift you up from sickness and failure, it can dry your tears, dissolve your problems, set you on the road to health, freedom, happiness and peace of mind. Where do I get it you ask – you already have it! The use of this Power is yours by right of birth; it is your God-given gift. It is your thoughts or vision that create your world. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, ”Man is what he thinks all day long.” Many times we have been told that thoughts are things and that they manifest themselves. You may have never thought of this, but your thought is a mental vibration and a definite power. Believe in the Universal Power of your thought and you will discover that “thinking makes it so.” The important part of vision is the ability to visualize. Visualizing means mentally seeing things that you wish to have or do. When you mentally see things you desire and see them very clearly, you are presenting Universal Mind with images of thought; and like the creative soil of the ground, it tends to project them into form. The first thing you need to do is decide what you wish to image into Mind, be it a house, a car, new furniture or a new job. Whatever it is, begin with a clear mental picture. If it is a new car, then in the silence of your mind begin to mentally picture the color, the body style, sun roof or not, interior upholstery, kind of tires. Begin to get the feeling of driving the car, go up and down familiar streets, wave at your friends as you pass by, make it as real as possible. In the process of visualization, it is necessary for the image to exist in Universal Mind before it can manifest itself. It is necessary for us the “thinker,” to give Mind a clear mental picture of our desires. The Universal Mind is a neutral force and It cannot by Itself choose to create or manifest anything. The only way Creative Mind can work is through your thought, feeling and mental imagery. You have the ability to make your own vision come true. Yes, it takes some effort and work on your part. No one ever promised you a free lunch or a rose garden. Faith in yourself and your ability to surpass the obstacles in your path is a gift. It is there for you to use or not use, that choice is yours. Take a deep breath, relax for a moment, feel your power and go for it. The future is yoursn
