A proper diet for a diabetic patient must have a low glycemic index. This means that the food must contain low levels of carbohydrates along with moderate levels of high fiber and protein. This diet ensures that the blood sugar level in the patient does not rise. The only mantra of curing diabetes is to lower down the intake of insulin. The less insulin you take, the less will be the need of drugs.

The second natural cure of diabetes is exercise. Though it is must for every body, it becomes inevitable for diabetic patients. Regular physical activity enables diabetic patients to reduce weight, improve insulin sensitivity, strengthen the immune system, lower the blood pressure and improve blood circulation. There are many asanas in Yoga that directly affect the well-being of a diabetic patient. Some of these are Dhanurasana, Sarvangasana, Bhujangasana, Paschitmottasana, and Shalabhasana. Moreover, a daily morning walk or jogging also helps.

The third natural cure of diabetes is intake of nutritional supplements along with a healthy diet. These supplements are designed to help people get rid of diabetes in a natural way. These help in reducing the sugar levels in the blood, lower down the cholesterol levels, maintain blood pressure, and ultimately reduce the risk of heart diseases. It helps patients to improve their immune system and thus protect themselves of any potential damage of tissues that diabetes can do.

Additionally, one should reduce the intake of sugar and any sugary product. Eating groundnuts on daily basis helps in curing diabetes. One should also use honey instead of sugar in daily routine. Certain vegetables also help in fighting against diabetes, such as Cabbage, Carrot, Spinach, Bitter Gour, Cucumber, Lemon, Rose Apple, and Tomatoes.

Natural cures have been proven to be beneficial and more effective in curing diabetes. However it is recommended to consult your doctor before you completely get rid of any medications.
