Lifestyle diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure that were the bane of developed countries has managed to afflict the developing countries as well. Heavy consumption of processed food that is rich in sugar and sodium is largely blamed for this. The traditional food choices in most countries is always balanced and aimed to cater to climatic conditions of the place. For instance, traditional Turkish food is a delicate balance of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese and olive. Each of these items is used in moderation to produce a healthy food habit. Fiber and protein help, by keeping the body full for a longer period. You can either chew on soaked seeds on an empty stomach, or buy the powdered version commonly available in stores.

Gaurana Fruit: The gaurana fruit is said to be native to Brazil and Venezuela. The fruit is commonly used to fight fatigue and cure headaches. The seed of the guarana fruit is said to contain a high amount of caffeine and is a popular ingredient in Brazilian soft drinks. The fruit is also believed to be a key ingredient in weight loss products.

Lemon: Lemon and honey mixed with warm water are known to burn fat and help in reducing weight. The acidic content in lemon is known to regulate metabolism and sugar absorption. In fact, even a low amount of lemon when added to the diet, goes a long way in inhibiting sugar absorption in the body.

Kiwi: The humble kiwi fruit is known to contain high vitami
C in high amounts. It is also very rich in fiber. Needless to say, fiber helps in keeping a person feel full for a longer period. The fruit is extremely low in calories and hence easy to burn off.

These are just some of the fruits and vegetables that help in reducing weight. When eating these fruits and vegetables, make sure that you eat them with their skin on.
