In came by a fluke that I stumbled on a website of quotations and found a witty message from Linda Chandler, once one of the highest paid woman financial executives in America. She believes that, “Think P.I.G. - that's my motto. P stands for Persistence, I stands for Integrity, and G stands for Guts. These are the ingredients for a successful business and a successful life.” There is nothing faux about this remark. The P.I.G. acronym is in fact the core values which will fuel your vehicle to a successful lead generation.
Just like in any other country, business entities in the United Kingdom are in a tight and fierce competition. Despite the enormity of the British economy, difficulty in lead generation is an inevitable force. This is the primary reason why they seek the assistance of telemarketing experts to improve their sales performance. So when you outsource lead generation services to a third party service provider, you have to be assured that they do have the essential telemarketing elements.
The necessary ingredients to a successful telemarketing are the manpower, management and technology. The P for Persistence refers to the manpower. They pertain to cold-callers who targets high quality sales leads and to appointment setters who schedules qualified appointments. The I for Integrity is the management. The best and honest practices of the management will serve as the guiding star which will lead your company towards the right direction to fortune. The G for Guts is for technology. The specialised applications provide the energy which makes it possible for the company to move forward. After all, call centres have been build out of the convenience and comfort that technology brought.
First Ingredient: A Cup of Good Management
The productivity of human resources and the effectiveness of chosen application lie on the ability of the management people. Practices of the management, be it bad or good, greatly affect the performance of the other equally important factors. Management practices must, first and foremost, be effective. For obvious reasons, there wouldn't be professional telemarketers neither an effective information technology if what the company has is a faulty and slouch authorities.
Good management team empowers employees, motivating them towards productivity and happiness in the workplace. The leaders are obliged to give their workers opportunities to polish the latter's skills and intelligence through training, seminars and workshops. This personnel development is critical in business-to-business lead generation since telemarketers are conversing with the decision-makers of other companies.
Second Ingredient: A pool of telemarketing specialists.
The performance of professional telemarketers is the fuel in the lead generation's vehicle. Without their expertise, wit and talent, call centres are devoid of a soul. Therefore, it is a must that cold-callers and appointment setters alike are equipped with abilities (communication, interpersonal, sales and marketing), training and experience to deliver a satisfying output. Cold-callers have to be keen in teleprospecting. Only sales leads that are qualified and within the client companies' specifications are to be follow-up for appointments. On the other hand, appointment setters ought to be persuasive, informative and clever in bringing up proposals to prospects in order to schedule a meeting.
Third Ingredient: A spoonful of technology.
Call centres for UK are expected to possess the latest advancements in the technology. Their specialised applications must allow prospects and customers a comfortable, easy and fast path to communicate. The installed technology should allow them to quickly gather information relative to the sales leads. In addition, it is a necessity that telemarketing firms can make direct contact with their clients.
British business organizations have to remember these things when a partnership with a telemarketing service provider exists. This is so because success can only be attained if the three aforementioned factors are present.
