Network Marketing Tip: Keep Away From The Big Bad Wolf, Be The Third Little Pig!

Let's think here… What is the desired outcome of every Network Marketing Tip? Well, you and I both know that it is to put more money in our pockets and generate more leads - Yes? But, how do you accomplish that? So far you've joined a MLM business and you gone to your first corporate function, got really excited, and you went home and started making your warm market list of family and friends. You're going to all of your company's traditional marketing training and you're leaving your business cards all over the place, you talk to to people in line at the coffe shop and even try to get your kids school teacher to join this incredible opportunity you've joined. And for some unknown reason, you've called through your 'warm' leads and all you see at the bottom of your pockets is blue lint and no green dollars! Well, have you really thought about exactly what you are selling? Really? And you think to yourself, "Bruce, we have 50 kinds of products – that is what I'm selling." But just step back and think for a minute. Yes you do have thirty products but is that really what you are selling? Think about what your prospect is buying. Consider the time when you got started in your opportunity – what was the main factor in your final decision? This is easily explained with the story of the Three Little Pigs: As the tale is told the First Little Pig constructed his house of straw. He had just joined Piglet Berry MLM and he was promoting their products right and left from his home. He really worked hard, but when the day was done and Big Bad Wolf came knocking on his door… "Knock, knock" and "POOF"! It only took a fierce blow from the Big Bad Wolf to level his house. Then, that same day, his Piglet Berry MLM called him and they went out of business! He quickly realized that promoting their products first was like living in a straw house and as soon as they went out of business, he was out of business too – right away. He realized quickly that he had no control over his future and ran penniless and scared to his second brother's home. The Second Little Pig opens the door and welcomes his first brother into his home made of sticks. Now inside and feeling secure, the Second Little Pig decides to share his new MLM opportunity with his first brother. He lets him know how great it is and all about the vacations he is going to go on and about all of the endless buffets that will be at their conferences and ooh la la. He goes to the closet and brings out his stand and white board and explains to him just how he is going to find financial wealth quickly by bringing on board all the other piglets he works with. The second brother is working so diligently to convince his first brother on the "Dream", but he's not buying it. It’s all hype and after living in a house of straw, he is very weary of the smoke and mirror job of this "Dream" his brother is selling him. (This reminds him of the guy that sold him his house of straw!) The Second Little Pig realizes it might be easier to sell ice to an Eskimo than to convince little piglets to join based on the "Dream" and quits his MLM opportunity. Then... "Knock, knock" "POOOOF", Guess who? It's the Big Bad Wolf again and he blows down the house of sticks. Scared, the first two brothers run to the Third Little Pig's house! Quickly they get to their brother's house made of bricks, they remark how perfectly it is constructed. The time and effort that went rninto it's construction and foundation. Their brother meets them as he's just about to jump on his computer to attend a training webinar training for the night with some other team members. The first two brothers just sit in amazement at what they are hearing - No Sales Pitch At All! Well no sales pitch about their brother's MLM. He’s just helping people with advice and answering their questions. Then... "Knock, knock" "POOOOOOF", "POOOOF", "Pooof", "Puh..." Hah!! The Big Bad Wolf can't do it, he's met his match and leaves, because the foundation and house of bricks are too much for him! Without even getting up out of his chair, the Third Little Pig defeats the Big Bad Wolf! All the while, undisturbed inside... The Third Little Pig's webinar is over and the phone rings as the three brothers are having a tasty little snack... "Hi, Third Little Pig, can you tell me a little bit more about that attraction marketing you were discussing earlier and by the way... what business you are in? You were so helpful in answering our questions tonight, but you never even mentioned what company you are in and how you do it." The first two brothers are amazed! And when the Third Little Pig gets off the phone, his brothers say "We never have anyone call us! We cold call non-stop and only talk to people who don’t want to talk to us – it's awful and cold calling stinks!" Then the Third Little Pig tells his brothers his secret. He says "Here is the greatest Network Marketing Tip for you that will for all eternity change your results and empower you from within and release you from the constraints of any MLM company that you join". The first two brothers quickly interrupt How can we do that?" At this point the Third Little Pig says "Aha, you are starting to get it. I am selling ME first, not my company, not any crazy dreams and not my products. It's actually simple, pigs all like to do business with pigs they relate to. They like pigs who offer value first and help them to be successful versus attempting to sell them something like a used car dealer. And listen to this! You too can do this just like me and achieve success beyond your craziest imagination, if you just give value to other pigs first, help other pigs to achieve their success and build relationships along the way – You too, will find your success." The End. A few last final thoughts for you: If you still are not finding success in your network marketing company, most likely it is due to one of the following two reasons: 1. You just have too few quality leads. (This problem is cured by first honing your marketing skills and having a system in place to attract quality leads.) 2. You just aren't calling back your leads. (Probably because it’s all cold calling and that flat out stinks – it will wear out even the toughest marketer in time. As long as you lead with the value you provide, people will look forward to you.) Network Marketing Tip: By promoting yourself first, leading with value and just being yourself, you will attract quality leads and you’re going want to call them back. So if your current marketing system makes you feel like you're always cold calling, it sounds to me like you need a new system!
