If you worry too much about how a situation will resolve itself, if you are desperate, if you are full of fear, if you try to force your way out, you get stuck.” “So don’t worry, don’t try to find a solution? Is that what you’re saying, Marla? How could you not be scared in the midst of turmoil? How could you not be concerned about outcomes? It’s not that simple.”nnn“It is that simple. You don’t have to struggle to make things work. Create the climate in which they work, then step aside. Be calm. Follow the guidance within. No need for desperation. Fear and worry will drain your energy and make it difficult to get unstuck from a sticky situation. Let life flow. Move from fretting to letting.” nnn“Yeah! Easy for you to say.”nnn“Trust yourself, trust your God, trust the process.” nnnThe cabdriver tried to appear oblivious, but in reality was intent on over hearing every word we spoke. He turned around for a second and with an impish grin announced,“We almos’ dere now. Anotha’couple minits, me tink. You goin’ like dis place.”nnnWe grinned back and thanked him. Marla then said, “They’re expecting us, so check-in shouldn’t be a long procedure. Our rooms are supposed to be next to each other, yours in the middle and Gideon’s and mine on either side, all with connecting balconies. That way, we could have dinner on the verandah while watching the tall ships go by.”nnnA few minutes later found us in the lobby of a luxurious hotel, enveloped in the rhythmic beat of steel drums.
