Yonge & Eglinton is one of Toronto’s hottest and most sought after neighbourhoods, and the area is in the midst of a major transformation. New retail, office, and living spaces are being built right by the much-anticipated Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Once the 19-kilometre rapid transit line is completed, it will intersect with Toronto’s main subway line, making Yonge & Eglinton one of the most connected and important mobility hubs in the country. This connection is a major draw for many Toronto homeowners and developers, who are already flocking to the area. One of the most established ones, Westdale Properties, has recently launched Line 5 Condos in the heart of all this action.

Line 5 is the creation of something truly innovative

The launch of Line 5 Condos doesn’t come as a surprise, though. Westdale Properties has been a long-time believer in Yonge & Eglinton. In fact, in 2005, this developer was one of the first investors in the neighborhood by launching their 88 On Broadway project. Partnering with Reserve Properties on Line 5 is a great opportunity for Westdale Properties to return to its roots. By harnessing this new development energy, Westdale is generating something truly innovative for Yonge and Eglinton. After all, communities are defined by the people who inhabit them, and this area is bursting with personality!

In the buildings initial design, developers wanted to respond to the fundamental changes in the average Torontonian’s lifestyle. Through keen observation, they realized that technology and modern amenities have played a huge role in shaping the way Torontonians live. Unlike just a few years ago, ride sharing apps, online shopping, and ordering meal kits are now key components in people’s lives. To address this major shift in lifestyle, Line 5 aims to incorporate features like dedicated rideshare pick up spots to alleviate the impact on local traffic, oversized parcel storage by the concierge desk, and storage areas for both hot and cold online food orders.

Reserve Properties, who has partnered with Westdale, is also launching the Line 5 South Tower very soon. The South Tower will share a podium with the North Tower as well as all its amenities, which are being created by the renowned interior design firm U31. Amenities will include a grand, oversized lobby reminiscent of a boutique hotel, impressive light fixtures, and a delightful café and tuck shop to accommodate commuters and residents during peak business hours.
