In this tight and highly accountable day and age, marketing a brand both online and offline has become even more difficult. Gone are the days when large brands threw money at advertising campaigns, not bothered about the return on investment or the business benefits. From my personal experience I can confirm that companies have become much more stringent with how and who they spend their money with. Audi, the premium German brand has just appointed a new Head of Marketing for the UK division. Audi has appointed Dominic Chambers as the new Head of Marketing, he brings with him 22 years of marketing expertise. Dominic’s last job was at Vodafone, before that it was LG Electronics, there are other reputable brands on his CV. Dominic will be responsible for the communications strategy for Audi. This task has been managed over the past seven months by Philip Olden on an interim basis. From Audi Glasgow Dominic said, "This is a tremendous opportunity to further develop the impressive and strong Audi brand by deploying strategic communication campaigns. I am looking forward to making my contribution to the exciting progress Audi is making in all areas, especially in the ways customers experience and interact with the brand." Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi said "We have taken great care in making this crucial appointment that will take us into the next key phase of our development as a brand and an organisation. I am really delighted to have secured Dominic for this role and I am confident that the particular experience he brings will have a tremendous impact on our performance both at a communications level and also in strategic terms."
