Using Meditation Music to Deepen the Meditation Experience
When a person enters a meditation mind state, physical changes occur inside their brain. These changes can be seen using a variety of brain scanning technologies, and many scientific studies have verified this. One of the most profound changes is a synchronization of brainwaves between the brain hemispheres. The two hemispheres of the brain have overlapping but different functions, and the brainwave frequencies in each hemisphere can work together or against one another. Meditation causes the hemispheres to synchronize, often in the Alpha brainwave frequency, resulting in a feeling of calmness, centeredness, and relaxed attentiveness to the present moment.
