Cirrhosis can be caused due to hindrance in the flow of bile which results in infections and jaundice which in many cases might just cause cirrhosis of the liver. ● Autoimmune hepatitis It is a disease caused due to an abnormality in the immune system and is generally and usually seen to happen in women.rnThere is an unusual and abnormal activity in the immune system which is in the autoimmune hepatitis results in huge inflammation and damaging of liver cells which further causes cirrhosis.   ● Infants can be born without bile ducts (biliary atresia) In such a condition they ultimately develop cirrhosis. rnThere are infants which are born without having the essential enzymes which are necessary for controlling sugars which further results in the amassment of sugars resulting in cirrhosis. In a few instances, lack of a particular enzyme may lead to cirrhosis and lung disfiguring(alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency).
