No Go Area

When your self-esteem is low, you become your own worst enemy. Your shoulders cave in and you feel lifeless and defeated. You have entered a “No Go Area.” Your spark is missing. And when you have a low opinion of yourself, life bombards you with obstacles and jam-side downers.
You need to press a few buttons to get from the basement to the top floor.

When was the last time you acknowledged your own achievements? You don’t need to be a contortionist to pat yourself on the back. Look at what you have accomplished. Give yourself credit. Dip into that can-do well and steep your mind in self-belief.

When was the last time someone paid you a compliment? Did you shrug it off? If you did, then, in the future, don’t. Accept praise graciously and gratefully and indulge yourself for a moment: Allow compliments to nurture your self-esteem.

Don’t compare yourself to someone who ‘has it all.’ There are people out there would who would give anything to be you. Throw off those slippers and put on your climbing boots. Stride out into the fresh air and see yourself in a new light.

You owe it to yourself to walk tall.
