Number One

Only you know if you are looking after yourself or letting yourself go? Are you sleeping peacefully, eating healthily, exercising diligently, spending thoughtfully or living dangerously?

Taking care of number one is often the last item on our ‘To Do List.’ When we fail to look after ourselves, our ability to function is critically impaired and we operate below par and out integrity. And the more we neglect ourselves the greater the void in our vitality.

The demands of living pull us in every direction. We over-commit ourselves to the busyness of doing and forget about the importance of being. Then, one day we look in the mirror and see a tired stranger who crept up on us while we were oblivious.

We often forget that we need to look after ourselves first so that we are capable of looking after all else that matters to us.

We’ve all had a string of late nights, a chocolate bar or two too many, an emotional spending spree, and most of us have been unable to fit in keeping fit. But when that exception becomes the norm, it’s time to think again.

Start taking care of yourself. You know what you need to do. Don’t put it off.
