Also, the diet source of these antioxidants is mentioned below: •Vitamin A and other carotenoids: It increases the rate of cell division in the skin, promoting cell renewal. Carrots, red peppers, sweet potatoes, mangoes, eggs, kale spinach, lemon, etc are rich source of Vit A •Selenium: This super mineral protects the skin tissues and helps counteract oxidative damage. It is contained in foods like eggs, grains, legumes, Brazil nuts, oats and tuna. •Vitamin C: One of the most powerful and effective antioxidants, Vitamin C is required for production of collagen, which keeps the skin youthfully plump and radiant. Broccoli, cabbage, citrus fruits, kiwis and red peppers are rich source of vit C. •Vitamin E: It protects the lipid layer of skin from oxidative stress: a major component in the ageing process. Avocados, cereals, herring, Hazelnuts, Brazil nuts and pine nuts are enriched with Vitamin E. •Zinc: It is required for repairing skin tissue damage.
