OLAP server is also going to be developed in the field of agriculture soon. It is nothing but the modification of the Online Transaction Processing that is abbreviated as OLTP. Online Transaction Processing is the traditional database that was used earlier before the modification has been made. The model of the data that are specially configured for OLAP is generally multi dimensional. There are two types of database which are supposed to be faster than relational databases. These fast databases are known as navigational as well as hierarchical databases. The online analytical processing takes the help of these two databases in order to work fast. The other areas encompassed by it are the reporting that are relational as well as mining of the data. The other major areas of the application are reporting for business, marketing, reporting for the management, and management of the business process.

When one queries the OLAP server, the output that is achieved is in the form of a matrix or can be called pivot also. The rows as well as the columns are formed taking the help of the dimensions whereas the values are formed using the measures.

OLAP server is a very useful application with a lot of benefits. The data that are queries can be easily accessed by the user. Many purposes are served by it such as reporting of data, analysis of data and the most important in the many investigation purposes also. The data are easy to read as well as they can be understood well, that is why it is used as business intelligence software. A variety of complex data that can take a company to the heights of success can be achieves by it. It is generally error free and can be used with ease. It helps in making correct business decisions leading to a successful expansion of the business houses.
