Today I did something really special – my horse allowed me to pet him while he was still lying down. That's a position of extreme vulnerability for horses. The feel of his coat of hair, the warmth of his body and the warm breath from his nostrils was a real moment of happiness. I'm so grateful that I was able to experience this intimacy between me and my horse!

Horses can help us to let go of the patterns we are stuck in and perceive ourselves more consciously. Sometimes everyday life has so many tasks and challenges for us, that it just gets too much and we want to flee, to get out of it all. We gather multiple impressions, tasks and ideas each and every day, which make it hard for us to really turn off the stream of thoughts in our mind and come to peace.

A great possibility to relax offers active connection with nature. Especially horses manage to succeed to draw us in with their placidness and strength and to bring us back to ourselves again. The very sight of a grazing herd of horses relaxes me and calms my senses. The luscious green pasture, the slow moving horses... the wee problems of everyday life are suddenly so far away.

Horses are special animals. For them it first of all comes down to not wanting, not needing and not having to do anything, in comparison to humans, but to experiencing with all of their senses. They don't know about expectations or responsibilities. They always live for the moment and do that which just crosses their mind. Galopping, playing, eating, resting, getting out of the way of danger... all their actions have a direct reference to their momentary impulses and they live in total accordance with nature. They are able to see behind every curtain and are thus wonderful trainers for self-confidence and clear communication.

In every tame horse lives a wild horse. In every wild horse lives a tame horse. The horse is the only animal who takes flight when danger is around, which has chosen to let itself be tamed. In him lives the wish to be —ne“ with humans, the wish to serve, to be a part of life on Earth. If that wasn't true, then horses would probably be extinct.“ Ariane Schurmann & Edwin Wittwer from their book AsvaNara – Pferdemensch“.

There are many possibilities to experience the calmness of and the connection with horses. You can look at a herd of horses in a field, or you can take a look at what we have to offer. No matter whether it's to be a short, moving moment with a horse, or an active time spent with them, the connection relaxes you, does you good and awakens your own liveliness and spirit. Muriel Maufroy, Rumi's daughter said, God's knowledge is as free as a bird, and so is your soul.“ You will feel this around horses.

Seize the moment!
