It is hard enough to sell things on the Internet with the amount of competition and sheer number of webpages. Sometimes just simply pitching another product can seem like a futile attempt in making sales. There is another way, however, being the 'resource' for the masses. How you sell information and how well you give away information can make all the difference in the amount of money you make. Internet marketers all over the world are making use of free teleclasses and webinars to add value to their services. It's a win-win when you as the expert artist can show the members of an online society, a membership site or the email list how to do a certain task. The owner of the list or membership site looks like the hero in offering such an important resource to their members and you get to collect all the names and emails of everyone and anyone who signs up for the webinar. This is how you can build a database list of potential clients very quickly.

What do I mean about 'giving away' information? It means that when you are a resource for critical info that people are looking for everyday, you can collect a huge list of potential customers by having a free webinar that teaches them something they want to know. Everyone loves something for free and they will love you for being the person who provides it. First, it builds trust and credibility in your field. Second, they will flock to your webinar to see what you have to teach. After the webinar is over, you now have two important things: a captive audience and a list of future customers. And this can work for any industry that has something to teach.

Right at the end of the webinar, when people are satisfied that you are the go-to person for a topic, it's the perfect time to pitch a product or service you can make money on. People who have just participated in a great presentation are far more likely to make a purchase that ones who come across a website or open an email. And remember, if they are not ready to make a purchase then and there, you have them on your mailing list to market to later. Ironically, giving away good information can make you more money in the long run than advertising neck and neck with everyone else on the web. Remember to record your webinar for all the people that can't make the live show. The are plenty of people that sign up for events such as this knowing that they may not be able to attend. When you email them the link to the recording, they can watch it at their leisure and still get the same pitch for products or services that the original audience heard. This can help the money keep rolling in even months after the original webinar.
