B2B business is emerging in China and the industry is facing some problems and opportunities now. Here are only two points I could figure out for discussion.

Main hostility to B2B industry comes from those companies who are not willing to provide price information and refused price competition. The truth is, not every company could win through low price on the market just like the tycoon supermarket Chain Wal-Mart.

Many companies put competitive advantages on reputation, brand, relationship network, and geographical advantages etc. These companies did not prepare and did not intend to develop the world market through competing on prices, which “made bricks without straw” for B2B platform.

It is the mega trend that quality and service will replace price competition; B2B put priority on showcasing manufacturer’s productivity rather than price war, such as factory scale, manpower, inventory, and authentication etc. On one hand it could provide more valuable data for buyer’s business, on the other hand, it helped to establish a fair and impartial competition system.

Innovative B2B foreign trade business platform ( IBUonline) cancelled competitive price ranking system and focused on showcasing supplier’s productivity, so that the international buyers could know more about the manufacturer referring to production cycle, export ratio etc info and data.

It is conducive for those international buyers to make a wise decision in foreign trade and to establish a good competition environment among the sellers.
